Philanthropy

Delta Delta Delta’s philanthropy is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Tri Delta began its national partnership with St. Jude in 1999. Since then, over 130 Tri Delta chapters have raised $4 million for the hospital. In 2002 Tri Delta announced that its members would raise $10 million in 10 years to go towards a new patient care floor in the hospital. This marked one of the largest donations ever made by a Greek-affiliated organization. The sorority was then recognized by the hospital as Collegiate Organization of the Year in 2007. Today, Delta Delta Delta is far ahead of schedule in raise the $10 million. The Delta Iota chapter at the University of Arkansas has many events supporting St. Jude such as:

  • The Sincerely Yours letter-writing campaigns in which members send out letters asking friends and family to donate money to the hospital
  • Frats at Bat which is a fundraiser in which fraternities play against other fraternities in baseball and are “coached” by the girls of Tri Delta
  •  The Pancake Pig Out where people are invited to come and eat pancakes to raise money

and many more. The Delta Iota chapter along with Delta Delta Delta chapters all over are making a significant difference at the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and in the lives of children and parents across the nation.
